What about our lunch, especially if you are a vegan?

Bengali local food is generally spicy, featuring dishes like plain rice, vegetables, fish, and meat which are available in most restaurants. Famous dishes such as Biriyani and Khichuri, made with rice, lentils, meat, and special spices, are also popular in old Dhaka and other cities. Non-spicy food can be ordered at most restaurants if preferred. While vegan options are not very common, you will find some items on the menu. In the Sundarbans, we can arrange vegan meals if you inform us in advance.

Is there a dress code for visiting religious or cultural sites?

Yes, it is respectful to dress modestly when visiting religious and cultural sites. This generally means covering shoulders and knees. Women might also consider wearing a scarf to cover their heads in certain places.

What should I bring for the Sundarbans trip?

Ahsan Manzil is closed on Thursdays and opens on Fridays after 3:00 PM. Lalbagh Fort is closed on Sundays and opens on Mondays after 2:00 PM.

site-logoBefore sunset, explore a small canal on a noiseless wooden rowboat, quietly floating in search of wildlife. Animals come to drink water in the evening and morning. Listen to birds chirping and the sounds of other animals. We'll reach Kochikhali by evening and anchor for the night.

Later, return to the main ship, which will arrive from Kochikhali through an inside canal.
